Congratulations to Chaohui Li on the successful completion of his doctoral defense!
Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Christoph J. Brabec, Chaohui’s doctoral research systematically advanced the performance and stability of inverted perovskite solar cells through a series of precisely designed molecular‑engineering strategies. His work developed a versatile toolkit that progressed logically from interface engineering (vacuum‑assisted 2D/3D heterojunction tuning, achieving 23.68% efficiency and 1.216 V VOC), to crystallization control (polymer‑templated growth of high‑quality α‑phase films, yielding 25.30% efficiency), and finally to ion‑migration suppression (MA‑free composition with TPPO anchoring, delivering a record 1.23 V VOC and >800 h T80 at 85 °C).
This coherent body of work provides both a materials platform and a mechanistic understanding that are essential for realizing high‑efficiency, stable p‑i‑n perovskite solar cells and their future application in tandem architectures.
Congratulations once again, Dr. Chaohui Li, and we wish you every success in the next stage of your scientific career!
