During her PhD at FAU and HI ERN, ElShaimaa Darwish worked on the stabilization and luminescence enhancement of metal-halide perovskite nanoparticles for energy-conversion and light-conversion applications. Her research focused on improving the structural stability, optical properties, and uniformity of perovskite nanomaterials through doping strategies, synthesis modifications, and polymer-assisted approaches. The work also explored the integration of perovskite materials into light-management concepts for silicon solar cells and investigated the relationship between material design, stability, and optoelectronic performance. Following the successful completion of her PhD, Dr. ElShaimaa Darwish will continue her academic career as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU). In her new position, she will focus on the in situ characterization of perovskite nanoparticle growth, contributing to a deeper understanding of their formation mechanisms and properties. We congratulate Dr. Darwish on this achievement, wish her continued success in her future endeavors, and look forward to following the outcomes of her research.
